Highly rated Swedish festival movie which parodies Stockholm’s art scene. The city has four pieces of street art, known as squares, and their avant garde nature is heavily satirised by Ostlund in a somewhat erratic, unstructured way which may intentionally mirror the subject material. The main character is a gallery curator who comes under fire over a controversial commercial. Its existential nature and Scandinavian social theme does limit its appeal to mainstream audiences.
