Back in the 80s, a group of rich young men from Los Angeles set up a Ponzi scheme which ended in the murder of one of its investors. That looks like a surefire plot for a great movie, but Billionaire Boys Club fails to cash in those chips. The misconduct allegations surrounding supporting actor Kevin Spacey led to a low-key release but, ironically, he’s the standout here as a Beverly Hills high-roller.
