LOVES & HATES

-

I love being a dog owner. About two years ago we got a schnoodle called Louie. It’s funny. I felt like I was subconsciously waiting for a grown-up to give me permission that yes, it was OK, I could get a dog. Then I thought, ‘Wait a minute, I can just get one’. I did have to convince my partner because he wasn’t keen on a schnoodle.

I love books. I’m a big non-fiction reader. I read books on minimalism, motivation or what drives people to behaviour. I love things that are going to inspire me.

I’m really big on podcasts. There is just this wealth of information that is out there. I started listening to it when I was exercising and then I’d get to the stage where I couldn’t wait to go for a walk so I could listen to the next one.

Windy days. There is just no upside to a windy day. If it’s a cold day you can go ‘OK, I’ll rug up warm’ and it’s all part of the changing seasons or a wet day or a hot day or a dry day. But the wind will ruin any day. It just drives me insane.

I hate waste. Anything going to waste. I have to use the very last bit of the toothpaste and the very last bit of the soap. I hate food waste too.

I hate trying to decide what’s for dinner. I would rather clean the toilet and just do whatever. That’s the worst job. One of the things about my job is that I’m often not there for dinner so I can leave instructions, but I’m not there to make sure everyone eats what they are supposed to. I just really don’t like meal preparation in general.
