Simply telling the truth in tough times

-

Wouldn’t it be great if the TV channels stepped up during the lockdown and gave us some good programmes to take away our boredom, rather than so many repeats and old programmes? I see that the new season of Liar is being shown on TVNZ OnDemand. What about putting it on TVNZ 1 so everyone can see it? Many of us oldies don’t have the luxury of Netflix or OnDemand. And please no more cooking shows...

With so many older vunerable people now housebound through the Covid-19 crisis, it would be great if free-to-air channels would consider putting on movies during the daytime. It would be a positive step to keep people’s spirits buoyed up.

Given the current Covid-19 state of emergency and national lockdown, I think the insurance companies should be showing some sensitivity to those at risk and withdraw all the ads on TV promoting funeral insurance for this period. They are only contributing to the feelings of anxiety and stress, particularly for the elderly and immunity challenged.

Coro fan (Christchurch)
