Coro Street catches up with itself

-

I see from reading the TV Guide listings that the afternoon Coronation Street Catch-Up episodes are about to fully catch up to the evening episodes. So what will happen then? Can you please enlighten us dedicated Coronation Street fans?

RR (Wellington)

I prefer watching Coronation Street in the afternoons rather than late at night. Please tell me that when the Catch-Up episodes do catch up, and I think that will happen soon, that Coro will still be screened in the afternoons.

Mary B. (Christchurch) has always been to bring these daytime viewers up-to-date, and that time has finally come. Covid-19 has posed challenges to our timeline, with breaking news updates affecting Coronation Street Catch-Up episodes and a UK production hiatus ensuring fewer episodes for primetime. As these factors are ongoing, we’ll confirm the exact meeting date with special promos and messages before and after episodes to keep viewers across what’s going on. Once the two streams meet, we’ll broadcast Coronation Street on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays, 1pm and 9.30pm. Episodes will debut in primetime as usual, with a repeat occurring at 1pm the following day (Friday’s primetime episodes will air the following Wednesday in daytime). We’ll air the same number of episodes each week as our friends in the UK. We know fans are concerned about the ongoing production hiatus because there are fewer new episodes to watch. We’ll stay in touch with ITV and as soon as they resume their full weekly broadcast we will too.
