Full English show takes the cake
Having watched the original UK series of Eat Well For Less, I was hoping for a similar programme with equivalent productive suggestions. Boy, what a let-down the local series turned out to be. The English show featured alternative recipes that could replace store-bought food. Their price comparison at the end of the show compared nearly all products purchased and the alternative pricing with savings of hundreds of pounds. The local show compared two products with a saving of $8.50. When suggesting a replacement product, which the children refused to change to, the hosts refused to take no for an answer and said, “So it’s a maybe”. The meals they made had no connection to any meal the families had been eating so had no relevance to offering a home-made alternative. Please save us further embarrassment by scrapping plans for the local series and continue to play the English show.
