Who is your favourite Chaser?

-

We had a huge response to Julie Eley’s editorial asking readers to name their favourite Chaser. It wasn’t a scientific poll but Anne Hegerty was a close overall winner just ahead of Shaun Wallace and Paul Sinha. Thanks to all who wrote in. After a random draw, the free six-month TV Guide subscription goes to Trish Bishop of Hamilton.

Anne Hegerty is my favourite. Anne appears to possess warmth and wisdom tempered with wit. She would possibly be a steadfast friend – lots of fun, would keep your heartfelt secrets and not chastise you too much for eating that last chocolate biscuit.

Trish Bishop (Hamilton)

My favourite chaser is Shaun Wallace (The Dark Destroyer). He has an incredible memory regarding royalty, especially dates. He also has a very good singing voice, is unflustered and is able to keep a straight face when Bradley takes the mickey out of him. He has the grace to accept defeat on rare occasions without having to punch the wall as Mark does.

John Nation (Pahiatua)

My favourite Chaser is Jenny Ryan (The Vixen). She’s good and I have not seen her put any one down or be nasty to any one.

Yvonne Powell

We are avid watchers of The Chase. My favourite is The Sinnerman. He is kind to people but I also quite like The Dark Destroyer. His humour is very dry.

Margaret Parr (Tauranga)

Anne Hegerty is brilliant, kind and understanding. All the Chasers are wonderful, and their knowledge is unbelievable. But hats off to The Governess.

Garry Hill (Timaru)

My favourite Chaser is The Dark Destroyer Shaun Wallace. He is brainier than Mark, better looking than Anne, funnier than Paul and hotter than Jenny.

Amanda Elrick

I’m with you and pick The Sinnerman as my favourite Chaser. He is humble, encouraging to the contestants and a snappy dresser in his white suit.

Heather Parnell (Tauranga)

My favourite Chaser is The Beast. Just the right mixture of rudeness, passion, aggression and intelligence. Makes for great TV.

John S.

Jenny Ryan The Vixen would have to be my favourite. I watched her sing on X Factor where she was placed third. Amazing talent and very modest.

Heather Harrison

I would hate to have had a school teacher like Anne Hegerty, but really, you can’t top Shaun Wallace, with his laconic “Just another day at the office”, can you?

Carl Watson (Whakatane)
