Superman Returns

Starring Kevin Spacey, Brandon Routh. Brandon Routh dons the bright red cape for this Superman reboot that seems to tick all the boxes while still lacking a certain something that is hard to put your finger on. Visually stunning, with some impressive CGI set-pieces, it also delves a little deeper into the Man of Steel’s psyche than previous versions, but somehow still fails to entertain as effectively as the Christopher Reeve original. ★★★
