Steinway celebration

As part of the Classical Expressions series called ‘ Celebration of the Steinway’, Expressions Whirinaki welcomes back the fabulous Russian born pianist Oleg Marshev to the stage.

The musician, who trained at a music school for highly gifted children and went on to get honours in his Performance Doctorate, will be performing three major works by two composers– Brahms and Ravel. With the daunting Gaspard de la nuit, a set of three pieces that together constitute one of the most challenging and virtuosic compositions ever written. It will be a wonderful programme of passionate pieces performed by a virtuoso.

He maintains a busy international career as a recitalist and concerto soloist as well as being a prolific recording artist.
