Upper Hutt Leader

Colour Day to be fun

- ABBY BROWN

Queen St Medical Centre staff say they jump at any chance to have some fun and are keen to support tomorrow’s Hutt Valley Colour Day.

The staff were already decorating their office, assistant manager Maria Dunn said.

‘‘Gone are the neutral colours.’’

Dunn said her staff knew how colours could benefit both them and their clients and would be wearing bright clothes and wigs on September 1.

Upper Hutt Paper Plus staff would also be donning wigs and colourful clothes on the first day of spring.

‘‘It’s good to get Upper Hutt brightened up,’’ manager Rob Hill said.

They were also encouraging customers to dress brightly by offering a 20 per cent discount off full-priced books, gifts and stationery .

Whether businesses or individuals go crazy with colour, or adopt a more sophisticated look, they could win prizes from Pita Pit. Just click ‘‘Going’’ on the Hutt Valley Colour Day Event Facebook page and tag a friend and you will have a chance to win. Tomorrow post your colourful outfits online with the hashtag #colourhuttvalley.
