SHU’S HERE IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Imagination is let out of the box in a new show for children hitting the road over the school holidays.
The region will get to join in the theatrical fun, and let its collective imagination go wild, as the Capital E National Theatre heads on aminitour.
The group will performthe show Shu’s Song on the Kapiti Coast, Upper Hutt and Wellington during the holidays, with a target audience of families with young people aged two and up.
In 45 minutes, audience members follow the journey of Shu - a character with a box for a head - learning to adapt to an unfamiliar world, gradually turning curiosity into confidence with each new encounter.
Creative producer Marianne Taylor said the title character’s discovery of new objects and environments ‘‘encourages curiosity, play and exploration’’
‘‘We’re very much looking forward to showcasing this beautiful production to young children.’’
