Seven St Joseph’s Venturer Scouts have earned their Queen’s Scout Awards over a seven-month period.

Kayla Moses and Dayna Richardson, both 18, have gained the highest achievement possible as youth members of Scouts.

They join St Joseph’s Venturers Randall Tyler, Scott Brieseman, Juliet Stevens, Lucy Burton and Jae Neshausen in achieving this.

About 50 Queen’s Scouts are awarded in any one year throughout New Zealand.

All the scouts from the Upper Hutt-based group gained the award by training in leadership skills, risk management, campcraft and life skills.
