Another successful night of bowls with winners being Shirley Taylor and Hazel Johnstone with 3 wins. Ken Rollo, Ross Baird and Ken Martin tied with Selwyn Warren and Marie Martin each with 9 ends and 15 points to jointly take the triers prize. Hazel won the raffle.

On the weekend, Hazel played representative bowls for Thames Valley Indoor Bowls Centre in Auckland against seven other centres. Thames Valley became the winners of the Sinclair Cup.

Monday night (September 10) winners were Diane Paulsen, Ross Baird and Nelsey Jordan, 2nd Neal Mikkelsen and Marie Martin. Triers prize went to Colin Lewis and Helen Meiklejohn. Raffles winners were Helen Meiklejohn, John Williams and Ken Martin.

Tuesday, September 11 — the club held their Handicapped Singles with a full house of 14 entries. It was an extremely competitive evening. After three hours of strong competition we found our two finalists. Betty Thomas and Graeme Morrissey will contest for the cup on the 25th of September.

Bowentown Boat Club
