It’s that time of year again when Hamilton lights up in festive colours and delivers a cracker programme of Christmas events for the whole family.

Garden Place will be a wonderland full of buzz and fun activities.

The great Toy Trade, a regular on the Christmas events schedule, will set-up on Saturday, December 10 in Garden Place. The Toy Trade allows the children to ‘set up shop’ and buy, sell or exchange toys and games. Registrations are essential and can be done online.

Children’s Fun Week from the December 17 to 23 is a must for all the family and includes inflatable bouncy castles, face painting, large games and live music.

This year we have a selection of great activities for all the family across the city. Garden Place will be turned into a summer wonderland and other Council facilities will have fun activities going on for all the family to enjoy says city events manager Tracey Wood.

“Why not take the family and take a festive twilight tour of Hamilton’s twinkling lights,” said Wood.

By using the online interactive map ensure you don’t miss any of the shining sights. There is also a chance to see the lights from the Go Bus Christmas Lights Bus which departs from the Caro St Coach Park at 8.50pm each night and visits Temple View, Garden Place Christmas Tree and other Hamilton light displays around Hamilton. Bookings are essential.
