Golden anniversary pulls in crowds

-

The New Zealand Agricultural Fieldays golden anniversary event last week had tens of thousands of people through the gates at Mystery Creek over four days to check out the more than 1000 exhibitors across 16ha.

The opening ceremony was Fieldays’ 50th birthday celebration with the milestone event shared with people who have been involved from the beginning and those with special ties to Fieldays and its history.

New Zealand National Fieldays Society (NZNFS) CEO Peter Nation spoke at the opening ceremony of the changes the agricultural industry has seen over the past 50 years and introduced this year’s theme of the future of farming. The Fieldays photos on this page are the work of student photographer Terry Su from the Waikato Institute of Technology in Hamilton.
