Growth ‘tainted’

Governments down the years, and economists generally, perpetuate the ideology of economic growth, side by side with the promotion of immigration. They say the latter helps promote the former through the additional spending that is generated.

To me the words ‘‘economic growth’’ have become tainted words. They should be replaced with ‘‘economic stability’’. I use the word ‘‘tainted’’ intentionally, as economic growth only aggravates chronic environmental pollution.
