The big questions

I am puzzled by Dennis Pennefather’s letter of June 19. He is dealing with the size of the brain today compared with that of our ancestors about 100,000 years ago. Even more fundamental is how even the first cell (a complex form of matter in even its simplest known form) occurred. Those of a religious bent might want to answer that! God did it? But then we have to ask, what is God and where is God? Sitting in a primal desert constructing the first cell (or two cells) to being life and aid reproduction? Just complete your daily duties and care for those who depend on you, is my advice.
