Truck driver dead

Emergency services responded to a fatal incident at a quarry in Tauranga yesterday. A truck rolled, killing one person, the driver. Police said that just before 2pm a truck and trailer unit rolled in the Tauranga Quarry while emptying gravel. Fire and Emergency northern fire communications shift Paul Radden said they have now handed the incident to police. A Serious Crash Unit investigation will be conducted, and WorkSafe have been advised.
