Universal matters 3
Steve Innes’s latest rant against religion in his letter of February 22 requires a response.
He claims that those of us who believe that God created the universe ‘‘rely on rambling and sometimes incoherent writings of ignorant, goat herding farmers, belonging to an aggressive and agricultural Middle Eastern tribe thousands of years ago’’. The reality is because of scientific discoveries such as the Big Bang, the fine tuning of the universe and the complex information found in DNA and the human cell, all of which have occurred during the last five decades, large numbers of the world’s leading scientists have joined the Intelligent Design Camp.
