Praise for hospital

-

I recently spent just over two weeks as a patient in WDH and want to let the people of Waikato know what a wonderful institution we have on our door step.

Right from the moment the capable and efficient staff of the St John’s Ambulance collected and delivered me to the appropriate part of the hospital, the care was impeccable right from the nurses, the health care assistants, doctors, specialists and many others.

Yes, some times when the staff were very busy we may have had to wait a short time for attention (and the breakfast toast was always cold). Any one who could invent a way to keep toast hot while being delivered to hundreds of people could become a millionaire. Incidentally the food was very good and with a good choice.

For the last few days of my stay I was transferred to the newest addition of the hospital, The Old People’s Rehabilitation Unit, like a 4-star hotel with great views of Hamilton’s inner city Lake Rotoroa, beautifully manicured by HCC.

This is all for the people of New Zealand, and it’s free. Count your blessings!
