Fresh images in city rape case

Clearer images of a man Hamilton police want to speak to over an alleged rape in the central city have been released. The woman was pinned down and sexually assaulted by a stranger at the bottom of the Waikato Museum carpark between 2.30 and 3.30am on Sunday, May 20. Police appealed for informatio­n on Police Ten 7 in June hoping to speak with a man caught on CCTV footage. The male is described as of Indian descent, about 172cm tall, skinny build and clean shaven with short black hair.
