Mystery surrounds death

The death of a 17-year-old girl whose body was found at an empty south Auckland home remains a mystery, say police. The body was found at a Mangere house on Sunday night. Police believe she died on Saturday. ‘‘This is a very complex matter,’’ said police spokesman Tofilau Faa Vaaelua. He said the body had been formally identified but not all family members had been notified. Former TV X Factor contestant Ashley Tonga, who moved out of the house weeks ago, said she was shocked it was a crime scene.
