Immigration rorts

-

What planet do those officials like Minister of Immigration Iain Lees-Galloway live on? This country needs to urgently examine its social justice ethics especially in the immigration sector. The public are allowed to know of Karel Sroubek’s criminal offending, his dodgy means of arriving in this country, but not of the special circumstances that see him granted residency in this country. Circumstances which would have to be astronomically special to grant him residency, considering that we actually rip Kiwi families apart and deny resident status to parents of those families, simply because they are of another nationality but have health issues that might cost the taxpayer.

Perhaps the special conditions were on social grounds...after all, he was an associate of the Hells Angels. It could have been for his services to commerce, even though his importing of precursor drugs into into the country has earned him a lengthy jail sentence. Perhaps the residential status is a gift because of services to sport...I understand he is highly skilled at our national sport, kickboxing? No Mr Lees-Galloway you may be able to hide such aberrational decisions behind your legal authority but you are still required to be consistent in your decisions on our behalf, and if you cannot do that, then many of us look forward to see you step down from your position of Immigration Minister.
