Rail safety for kids

A Ngaruawahia girl died after being hit by a train this year, so rail safety will be a key lesson for local kids tomorrow. It’s Safe Kids Day at The Point, and organisations including Kiwi Rail, Waikato District Council, police, fire and ambulance will teach kids how to look after themselves. ‘‘This will teach children how to keep themselves safe,’’ Ngaruawahia Ward councillor Eugene Patterson said.
