Cited for eye-gouging

England prop centre, will face a disciplinary hearing for an alleged eyegouge on Kiwis captain Dallin WateneZelezniak in the second test in Liverpool on Monday. Television footage showed Burgess’ fingers making contact with the New Zealand fullback’s eye in the 61st minute at Anfield. The incident went unpunished and England won the test 20-14 but the Rugby Football League has announced that Burgess would appear before a three-man panel this morning.
