Second tourist dies

American Spencer Jason Hom Dow, 23, died when the car he was a passenger in collided head-on with a bus carrying 14 people in Otago. The second man in the car, who died in Dunedin Hospital overnight yesterday, was also a 23-year-old American. He was the driver of the car that crashed while passing a truck on double yellow lines on State Highway 6, near Kingston, on November 1. Police said they could not release the second man’s name yet. A police spokesperson said the crash was still being investigated. The two men met in New Zealand and were travelling around the country together.
