Praise for Trump
The Suleimani killing is reminiscent of the surgical liquidations of Putin’s enemies around the world. We in the Western world are outraged about the Suleimani assassination, but did we project such outrage on Putin’s activities?
Not to mention the surgical elimination of a troublesome journalist by Saudi Arabia.
We conveniently forget that Suleimani was a key power-broker in the Middle East. Yes it was his ruthless leadership that drove the Daesh/Islamic Fundamentalists out of Iran and Iraq, but were his troops on the ground Iranian Kurds? The same ethnicity of the Kurds who had, with the aid of the US, had such an impact on Isis in Syria?
Have we forgotten the ritual slaughtering of thousands of people throughout the current Middle East crisis because they failed to conform to Islamic Fundamentalist dogma?
Then immediately, after the so-called coup in Turkey the arrest and disappearance of tens of thousands of the judiciary, academics, civil servants, and military leaders who had shown any resistance to President Erdogan’s drive to push Turkey into martial law, and Erdogan’s march towards his self appointment to the Sultan of Turkey. Where were the righteous then?
In addition, we have Iran’s self appointed leader, Ali Khamenei, who has brutally lead Iran for three decades, preserving a self vested power that has little, if any, accountability.
Of course let’s not forget the Islamic Shiite and the Sunni hostile division in which the only thing that they agree upon is, given the opportunity, they would wipe Israel off the face of the earth.
Iranian Shiites ultimate goal is to dominate the Shiite world, and to that end, under the direction of their power broker, Major General Suleimani, they have strongly influenced events in Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, Qatar and threatened Israel and Saudi Arabia. Where was the righteous indignation from the West’s political commentators?
It is rare to identify where and when an enemy power-broker will be at given time, and even rarer if he is accompanied by his key strategists. It is also rare to have a Western Leader with the guts to exploit such an opportunity and issue the command to take down this key powerbroker in Iraq and not Iran. Congratulations President Trump.
Most importantly let us not forget that, although there are dozens of players in the Middle East, each with its own agenda, the one thing that attracts focus is the destruction of the barbaric Islamic Fundamentalists dogma, Daesh, and their capacity and will to pursue their Sharia Law agenda. This coalition of powerful Middle East players including the US, the UK, France, Saudi Arabia, Iran Kurds, and Israel have recently successfully cooperated in the destruction of Isis, is now in grave danger of disintegration if we engage in tit-for-tat reprisals, and make no mistake, Daish/Isis will already be preparing to take advantage to regroup, and regain their ascendancy.
