Man charged over crash

A man has been charged over a fiery early morning crash that left two others injured in Hamilton while the nation was in lockdown. Damien Paul Vierboom, 28, did not appear but instead pleaded not guilty through his lawyer at the Hamilton District Court yesterday to four charges relating to the crash on Kahikatea Dr in the city on April 22. Vierboom was remanded on bail to reappear on September 15 for a case review hearing.
