Say no to $150,000

I agree with Bruce Stott and many others that it is not appropriate for Waipa¯ District Council to spend $150,000 in France to commemorate an historic battle outcome.

More relevant would be funding, after iwi consultation, to support a memorial to the many New Zealanders who died bravely and those who lived to pass down equally heroic and moving stories.

There are several appropriate battle sites to choose from.
