Woman con­quers 20 peaks in record time

He­len Bon­sor sets a new women’s world record for the “Tran­ter’s Round” in Scot­land. The Mam­mut Pro Team ath­lete from the Lake District con­queres the 63 km route with its 6,100 m of as­cent and des­cent in only 12 hours and 25 min­utes on Fri­day, July 14, 2017. Bon­sor is cur­rently the fastest woman to com­plete this var­ied and chal­leng­ing route. Named af­ter its orig­i­nal van­quisher, Phillip Tran­ter, the “Tran­ter’s Round” boasts no fewer than 20 size­able peaks across two chains of peaks and is still con­sid­ered to be a 24-hour tour. He­len Bon­sor starts the tour at 05:57 a.m. and achieves her ob­jec­tive of com­plet­ing the cir­cuit in a lit­tle over half of the orig­i­nal time at 06:22 p.m.
