Fuel the flames of romance ce

Ball said, “Love yourself first and everything else falls into line.” So with romance in our hearts, and V-Day in mind, here are five of beauty’s most desirable, adorable — and rose-tinted — offerings to keep you looking and feeling lovely come February 14.

Adore roses?

New to the beauty counter is L’Occitane’s Central Rose Eau de Toilette ($ 89), a gorgeous mix of rose, amber, patchouli and white musk. Check it out even if you are inclined to think rose fragrances are for nanas.

Beat the blues

and lift the spirits with Scentered’s Love Balm ($ 35), a natural aromatherapy fragrance made from rose, patchouli and cedarwood. Expect to feel soothed on application.

Jump into a bath

with this and feel yourself transforming from stressed out to totally loved-up. Himalayan pink salt, Epsom salts and dead sea salt in French Girl’s Sea Soak in Rose/Ylang ($ 30) combine to soften skin, relieve aching muscles and soothe the mind.

Pucker up.

It’s undeniably premium, but cracked, flaky lips don’t put anyone in the mood for love. A cult favourite, By Terry’s Baume de Rose Lip Care ($ 100) has a delicate rose scent and a subtle, non-sticky shine.

Private pampering.

It’s not the prettiest product so keep Weleda’s Wild Rose Pampering Body Oil ($ 39) stashed away in the bathroom cabinet. It will, however, stimulate regeneration, improve elasticity and leave skin silky and smooth. What’s not to love?
