Circus theme for the Property Industry Charity Ball
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors ( RICS) and the Property Institute of New Zealand ( PINZ) have announced a fourth annual Property Industry Charity Ball to be held in support of the Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre.
The event is to be held at Shed 10 on Queens Wharf next Friday, August 26. All sectors of the property industry are invited.
Organising committee member Phoebe Hewitson of JLL says this year’s ball will have a Le Cirque theme and follows on from successful past themes: 1920s Gatsby, Apres- ski and A Night in the Orient.
In association with the RICS and PINZ, the event has corporate support from principal sponsors Colliers International and Mansons TCLM, along with associate sponsors Fletcher, Black Interiors and JLL.
“The True Commercial section of the New Zealand Herald has also provided tremendous support in the lead- up to the event,” Hewitson says.
The 2016 committee is made up of a team of young property professionals and comprises Hewitson, Tegan Reihana and Liam Costley ( JLL); Victoria Collie ( CBRE) and Elizabeth Newman ( Knight Frank). Ashley Church ( PINZ) and Martine Fernandez ( RICS) have also contributed their energies to the ball.
“Over the past four years this ball has become a key event on the property industry calendar with past balls attracting up to 600 attendees,” Hewitson says.
“This year’s committee has put in hours of hard work to make this event a success and anticipates at least 700 attendees due to increased support and a growing momentum from previous years.
“The more attendees, the greater the donation will be to the Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre,” says Hewitson.
