Warehouse, office space at F& P campus

-

n opportunity to occupy warehouse space within Fisher & Paykel Appliances’ East Tamaki campus in South Auckland, has become available to industrial businesses looking for a new home.

The campus at 78 Springs Rd includes Fisher & Paykel Appliances’ global headquarters, a global product development hub, distribution facility and central joinery.

Colliers International brokers Andrew Hooper and Greg Goldfinch, and CBRE brokers Tim Boyle and Claus Brewer are marketing 11,5000 sq m of warehouse and up to 1200 sq m of office for lease.

Hooper says with only a 2.2 per cent vacancy rate in Auckland, competition is growing fiercer by the day for buyers and tenants alike. “Leasing opportunities of this calibre do not come up often across Auckland, and particularly in East Tamaki.”

The large, modern premises sits next to Fisher & Paykel Appliances’ global headquarters built for the company, featuring generous offices and staff areas with large gardens and high- stud corridors.

“Fisher & Paykel Appliances’ employee numbers are expected to grow, especially in their design centre which has had a $ 5.5 million refurbishment,” says Boyle. He says the site was well- conceived, with many car parks and access points on to Kerwyn Ave, Springs Rd and Allens Rd allowing for a large flow of staff and operational vehicles to share the substantial site with ease.

“We don’t expect something like this to stay available for long. It’s a chance to establish alongside a world leading appliances company, with global distribution and unrivalled reputation and brand prestige,” adds Boyle.

The main entrance to the property i s off Springs Rd with additional access off Kerwyn Ave.

“The property offers easy access along Highbrook Drive to SH1, joining between the Otahuhu and East Tamaki interchanges,” Hooper says.

The buildings were originally erected in several stages and include t wo large, high stud, warehouse manufacturing areas together with an attractive office complex and spacious grounds.

Both factories have been built to withstand heavy duty operations, using low- maintenance materials, and offering stud heights eight- tonine metres to the knee.

“The office complex was initially built in two stages, and is finished to a high standard,” says Hooper.

“The area i s spacious, well maintained, and features abundant natural lighting with great landscaped gardens and courtyards.

“The entire complex i s fully sprinklered, ceiling insulation and a number of gantry cranes,” Boyle points out.
