Today is your last chance to vote for one of this country’s most inspiring people.
The Herald New Zealander of the Year has been celebrating those who make an outstanding contribution to New Zealand and beyond for 25 years.
For the first time this year, together with our radio partner The Hits, we have introduced a People’s Choice Award to allow us to recognise the truly inspiring stories in our communities.
The nominees include police officers who made a split second decision to put their own lives at risk to save others; a teenager dedicated to preventing teen suicide; a woman who fought for cancer medication for the good of the country; a Paralympic star; fledgling politician; family violence campaigner and more.
Each have made a huge impact on our country.
