Transgender puberty

A transgender male is a female. She is a she. The all- girls school has sent the wrong message to its community by providing gender- neutral toilets. Transitioning to finally being the girl you should have been at birth, and wanting to use the girls’ toilets, does not make you a “militant transgender pushing new boundaries”.

Kent Millar finds it outrageous that girls’ rights are not being “protected” whereas most of us reading his letter found it outrageous he'd written of the “biggest emotional and transitional upheaval” of puberty without acknowledging the irony that he was not referencing the transgender child or that this may actually be the child in need of protection.

Yes, girls go through puberty but we don’t only go through the “biggest emotional and transitional upheaval in our lives” in the toilet block at school, we go through puberty everywhere. Puberty is a bitch, for boys and girls. Michelle Jones, Bayswater.
