Boomers should sell up

Should providing rental houses for drugged- up losers be an option for retirees? I think not. Baby boomers are constantly criticised for owning multiple rental properties. And this supposedly prevents potential first home owners climbing on to the property ladder.

Here is my advice to retirees who own rental property. With house prices booming in Auckland, sell up and start living comfortably on the proceeds. There’s bound to be some reaction to this, however. Property management companies will lose some income. A flood in the housing market will ultimately reduce prices. But when you are in your mid- 70s being a victim of slob behaviour is intolerable.
