FROM FANSHAWE S TREET TO THE WORLD.

-

The Fonterra Headquarters in Fanshawe Street isn’t just home to around 1,500 Auckland staff. It’s also the global hub for Fonterra’s staff of 22,000, who together help us sell products in more than 140 countries around the world. These people are passionate about taking the best of New Zealand to the world, and putting our dairy on the global stage.

As part of our business strategy, we are becoming increasingly focused on diversifying our product range through innovation and partnerships to meet customer demand. One innovation is a low salt cheese, specially formulated for the salt- conscious Korean market. This cheese, from our Stirling factory in the South Island, has become popular with children in Korea as a nutritious introduction to dairy.

Another new product is our idea for the Hong Kong market. Consumers wanted to see healthier snack options in supermarkets for their children, so Fonterra developed a new bite- sized cheese cube product called ‘ Anchor Candy Cheese’. The cute look and great taste has made it a huge hit in the lunchboxes of Hong Kong kids. Anchor Candy Cheese contains twice the nutritional content of regular cheddar and less sugar, so it’s also a hit with parents.

The farmers who own Fonterra understand that the success of our Co- operative depends on our people. With a constant focus on innovation and improvement, we are challenging boundaries and finding new ways of working towards our purpose of being the world’s most trusted source of dairy nutrition.
