Library changes

I attend the Pt Chevalier Library where I am taught how to use a smartphone. Very young children get regular experience there in books and early reading. Librarians provide vital services which are free to us all. Their expertise should be highly valued and encouraged rather than threatened.

Library staff are now afraid of their future. The proposed changes seem to indicate an uncivilise­d society and must be halted. I encourage all to consider supporting the petition “Save our Supercity Librarians”. Health minister Jonathan Coleman’s response to expert advice, which his Government asked for and we pay for,
