Has a window sticker just blown Ford’s Mustang surprise?
We’re used to seeing spy photographers going to extreme lengths to photograph supersecret future models. Leaked documents confirming upcoming new metal are nothing new.
Even the Patents Office unveils more than its fair share of information on what manufacturers are up to.
But something as simple as a lowly window sticker spoiling a surprise is a new one on us.
That’s what an image of a window sticker design for a socalled Mustang might have done — or undone — for Ford last week.
The image was leaked on a Mustang enthusiast website and seems to point to a rather distinctive new dress- up pack for a car based on the famous green machine from the Steve McQueen movie,
Next year also just happens to be 50 years since was released, so the familiar highland green metallic paint seen on the original 1968 Mustang GT — and more recent anniversary models — was possibly one of the industry’s worst kept secrets anyway.
