What I’d do

- Jennifer Ward-Lealand

Later I’ll take a walk up the road

the West Lynn village. After weeks of road works the local businesses deserve some of my dollars and there are some new places to check out i.e Honey Bones in Richmond Rd. Later on in the day I’ll run through my numbers for The Upside Down Gala for Puawai Festival on November 30th. We’ll be performing in the gorgeous Wintergarden at the Civic for a night of musical magic to support Kiwis living with HIV and fund HIV prevention programmes.

Saturday evening will

have something great to see at Basement Theatre. And on November 30, A Slightly Isolated Dog’s production of Santa Claus opens. As much as I might like to prepare for my performance in this show, that would ruin the scary thrill of learning what the show is about only as you’re acting in it.

Sunday morning I’ll walk up to the

Lynn Farmers Market at Community Centre to get some excellent vege plants and then later on in the day rehearse for NZ Dance Company’s Club Mystique fundraiser on

3 December – a ridiculously entertaining night of theatrical mayhem featuring my husband Michael at his comic best alongside, among others, Amanda Billing and Linda Topp.

Sunday night I’ll be settling down

some te reo homework so I can be well prepared to spend two days listening to Maori speakers at Te Puna o te Ki at AUT in early December.
