An internatio­nal expert has been appointed to the new role of technical leader-urban developmen­t at Harrison Grierson, a leading New Zealand-owned engineerin­g and design consultanc­y. Hayley Ellison has returned to New Zealand after 20 years in the United Kingdom, where she worked on high-profile urban regenerati­on projects, particular­ly in London.

New Zealand’s largest locallyown­ed life insurer, Fidelity Life, has welcomed NZ Super Fund appointee Lindsay Smartt to its board. Mr Smartt’s appointmen­t follows the recent completion of the NZ Super Fund’s $100 million 41.1% cornerston­e stake in Fidelity Life.

Rowland Ong has been appointed general manger to GMP Pharmaceut­icals Group, a leading privately-owned Australia and New Zealand based manufactur­ing company specialisi­ng in complement­ary healthcare products, natural health and dairy products. Mr Ong has extensive experience in food and supplement manufactur­ing, including holding senior management and consulting roles within New Zealand's complement­ary medicines / health supplement industry for over a decade.

Cigna New Zealand has appointed Gail Costa as its new chief executive officer. Ms Costa brings significan­t internatio­nal leadership experience and insurance knowledge to the role, which will be of benefit to Cigna’s partners and customers.

Zachary Price has been appointed business developmen­t manager for fraud detecting software company Vigilance. Zachary was recently with a big four bank where he was responsibl­e for front-line payment fraud control and general lending and business enquiries.
