An international expert has been appointed to the new role of technical leader-urban development at Harrison Grierson, a leading New Zealand-owned engineering and design consultancy. Hayley Ellison has returned to New Zealand after 20 years in the United Kingdom, where she worked on high-profile urban regeneration projects, particularly in London.

New Zealand’s largest locallyowned life insurer, Fidelity Life, has welcomed NZ Super Fund appointee Lindsay Smartt to its board. Mr Smartt’s appointment follows the recent completion of the NZ Super Fund’s $100 million 41.1% cornerstone stake in Fidelity Life.

Rowland Ong has been appointed general manger to GMP Pharmaceuticals Group, a leading privately-owned Australia and New Zealand based manufacturing company specialising in complementary healthcare products, natural health and dairy products. Mr Ong has extensive experience in food and supplement manufacturing, including holding senior management and consulting roles within New Zealand's complementary medicines / health supplement industry for over a decade.

Cigna New Zealand has appointed Gail Costa as its new chief executive officer. Ms Costa brings significant international leadership experience and insurance knowledge to the role, which will be of benefit to Cigna’s partners and customers.

Zachary Price has been appointed business development manager for fraud detecting software company Vigilance. Zachary was recently with a big four bank where he was responsible for front-line payment fraud control and general lending and business enquiries.
