Storm go top with routine win
The race for the NRL minor premiership looks like going to the wire as the Melbourne Storm went to the top of the table with a 20-4 win over the Parramatta Eels last night. The Storm head the Roosters and Rabbitohs on points differential, although the Roosters can reclaim top spot with a win in Canberra tomorrow. Manly’s final home game of the season resulted in a capitulation, as the Titans scored six unanswered tries to storm back from 22-6 down to 42-22 up. The Trbojevic brothers scored late tries — Jake his second, and Tom his third — as the Sea Eagles narrowed the final score to 42-34.
