Week ahead

It’s a massive week on the couch as the calendar rolls into autumn . . . except it feels like summer still. So that’s why we’ve got cricket, golf, rugby and netball all competing for your emotional attention. Here’s where to focus:

Golf

Tune in for the final two rounds of the 100th New Zealand Open from the The Hills and Millbrook. As long as he’s not too tired from whizzing around the world — Perth to Mexico to Queenstown in the past two weeks — Kiwi Ryan Fox will be looking to add his first NZ Open title to his maiden European Tour win. Whether there’s a Kiwi in the mix on the weekend, it’s worth tuning in for the views. From 2pm today and tomorrow on Sky Sport 3 and Sky Sport 4 (tomorrow).

Supercars

Kiwi Shane Van Gisbergen will be chasing a slice of history at the Adelaide 500 history this weekend. The Triple Eight driver holds a perfect streak of four pole positions and four race victories across the 2017 and

2018 events. A victory in today’s race will make him the first driver to win five races in a row at the event, while an overall win will complete a hat-trick of Adelaide

500 triumphs, a feat never before achieved. Fellow Kiwi, rival, and reigning Supercars champion, Scott McLaughlin, will notch his 200th Supercars start tomorrow. And Ford Mustang returns to the Supercars Championship for the first time in almost three decades. Today from 12.25pm Sky Sport 4; tomorrow from noon Sky Sport 3.

Football

The Football Ferns are contesting the Cup of Nations — a great shakedown for the World Cup later this year in France. And because it’s in Australia, the viewing times are user-friendly. Find out why women’s football is on the rise as the Ferns take on Argentina today (6pm Sky

Sport 4) and South Korea on Wednesday (4.50pm, Sky Sport 4).

Rugby

Normally you’d say the Blues would get their desperately needed first win of the season against the Jaguares in Buenos Aires. But after the Argentine side beat up the Bulls the last week, there’s no certainty here. Blues v Jaguares, tomorrow 10.40am, Sky Sport 2.
