For sale: Large development landholding, plus up to 33 sections

-

A substantial block of development land and up to 33 residential house lots in a coastal location on Auckland’s northern fringe have been placed on the market for sale in a mortgagee process.

The coastal sections and land sit on the headland between Okura and the Whangaparaoa Peninsula.

The first block being marketed for sale consists of a 33.5ha development site previously labelled as ‘Village 1’.

The bare land is zoned under multiple classifications — residential, rural and coastal settlement zone, rural conservation zone, Weiti subprecinct B and Weiti sub-precinct C. A resource consent is in place.

Meanwhile, the second offering consists of up to 33 sections which are part of a 150-lot gated community subdivision.

The sections range in size from 1620sq m to 2000sq m and had previously been marketed for sale with price tags starting at close to $1m.

Land within the residential area is zoned residential rural and coastal settlement, and Weiti sub-precinct A.

The two areas within the greater Weiti locale are accessed by 5km of fully sealed road running off East Coast Rd in parallel with State Highway 1.

The Weiti valley surrounding the land and sections for sale consists of native bush-clad hills, Department of Conservation reserves, protected wetlands parks, and rolling countryside.

The land and sections are being marketed for sale, either as one parcel or individually, by deadline private treaty through Bayleys Real Estate, with offers closing on November 6. Bayleys

Auckland corporate projects director Gerald Rundle said they were being sold as freehold records of title.

Bayleys Warkworth salesperson Michael Guy said the sections were part of a coastal gated community where houses had already been built and more were under construction.
