Aucklander Angela always thought she was a city girl through and through — but she was wrong.
When she found her dream home in a semi-rural location in Coatesville, she and her family left urban living for a complete change of scenery, and she hasn’t regretted it for a moment.
“We’re in this beautiful, peaceful location in the country but we’re only half an hour from the city centre or 10 minutes from Albany. It’s the perfect spot.”
Angela and her husband had been living in Grey Lynn with their three children and looking for somewhere bigger when she spotted the For Sale sign for the Screen Rd house while on her way to visit family.
“I didn’t know the area, but as soon as I saw the house, I thought, Yes! It was brand new, and had everything we wanted.”
The immaculate farmhousestyle home is reached via a long driveway off Screen Rd, a private road.
A wide path leads up to the striking wooden double front doors, creating a grand sense of arrival.
