Top sales winner

Greg Goldfinch, industrial national director at Colliers Internatio­nal, has been named the agency’s top New Zealand salesperso­n for 2019. It is the third year in a row, and fifth year in total, that Goldfinch has been Colliers’ top annual revenue earner. A standout deal was the sale of Visy’s 32,000sq m industrial facility at 122 Ingram Road, Hamilton, for more than $70 million. Goldfinch’s South Auckland Industrial team was also named Colliers Team of the Year for the third year running, having completed more than 200 deals totalling in excess of $1.2 billion.

Big bulk retail

A 3,946sq m multipurpo­se premises built for The Warehouse in 2003 on 7,701sq m of land with dual street frontage and 114 car parks at 281 High St, Hawera, Taranaki, sold for $6.1m at a 7.26 per cent yield by Bayleys’ Andrew Shaw and Iain Taylor.

Bare land

9,387sq m of bare industrial land on the northern fringe of Te Rapa at 175 and 181 Maui St, Te Rapa, Hamilton sold with vacant possession for $3.1m at $330/sq m by David Cashmore, Bayleys Hamilton.

New industrial

A newly built 3,530sq m industrial facility at 18 Business Parade North, East Tamaki, has been leased to Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. The deal was brokered by Colliers’ Brad Johnston, Paul Jarvie and Andrew Hooper.

Strong lease

A 6,526sq m rurally-zoned site with 75m road frontage and a 600sq m building at 157 Domain Rd, Papamoa, sold for $2.31m at a 4.21 per cent yield by James Ross, Bayleys Tauranga. Leased to Waipuna Hospice Charity for fiveyears to December 2022 plus 3x4yrRoR.

Industrial lease

A 3,469sq m industrial facility at 64 Richard Pearse Drive, Auckland Airport, has been leased to high-tech medical supply company Aroa Biosurgery for more than $145/sq m. The deal was brokered by Colliers’ Paul Jarvie and Brad Johnston.

Developmen­t potential

Two adjacent commercial properties on 1,348sq m corner site in Mixed Housing Urban and Westlake School zones at 4 Locket and 212 Archers Rds, Glenfield, Auckland sold together for $1.8m at a 5.01 per cent yield by Terry Kim, Bayleys North Shore.

Huge corner site

Colliers negotiated the recent off-market sale of 25 Langley Road, Wiri, Auckland to NZX-listed company Property For Industry, The property comprises more than 15,300sq m of space over a 3.5ha corner site. The off-market transactio­n for $36 million at a yield of 5.65 per cent was brokered by Colliers’ Andrew Hooper, Todd Kuzmich and Brad Johnston.

New lease

A 293sq m shop in a modern retail complex at 115 Felton Matthew Ave, St Johns, Auckland with new eight-year lease to The Fresh Market, sold for $1.681m at a 5.17 per cent yield by Bayleys’ Amy Weng, Nelson Raines and Oscar Kuang.
