If you have a love for all things healthy and are looking for a great opportunity in the Queenstown Lakes District, Health 2000 Wanaka is an excellent business generating a healthy profit, with a turnover in excess of $1 million.

This retail store is being brought to the market by ABC Business Sales’ Donna Harpur-Swain.

Having stood in the resort town for 25 years, this wellbeing store operates seven days a week on the main street of Wanaka.

The current owner has been involved with the Health 2000 group for the past 14 years, successfully operating the Wanaka store for all this time.

There are around 50 Health 2000 stores across the country and Wanaka is always among the topperforming outlets.

The store has a very good manager in place, supported by a knowledgeable and dedicated team. All systems are well set up, making it easy for a new owner to walk in and take over.

The employees are well versed in the business and can be relied on to run the business in the owner’s absence.

There are two consultant rooms within the shop. One is currently used by the owner, who is a naturopath, and the other is vacant. In the past, this has been let out to other parties.

“Health 2000 Wanaka is a well-established business, with great staff and making a very good income,” says Harpur-Swain.

Wanaka is fast becoming a boutique shopping destination with great bars and restaurants. It’s also the home to Treble Cone and Cardrona ski resorts.

The population is around 17,000 and growing at a rapid rate – there are numerous subdivisions, both residential and commercial, as the town’s popularity increases.

Health 2000 has its own brand and warehouse. It is a composite buying group; however, store owners can purchase other brands. As part of the composite buying group, rebates are received from suppliers, maximising profit return to store owners.

There is also a loyalty system in place for customers — for each dollar they spend, they receive one point. When they’ve spent $75 = 75 points they get a $5 discount and the loyalty card accrues points in all stores and online.

“Here's a huge opportunity for someone to join the Health 2000 group and get into the natural health industry in one of the most beautiful parts of New Zealand,” says Harpur-Swain.
