GET A TRADE

-

New Zealand’s skill shortage is real and needs to be urgently addressed. Got a trade week, from August 22-26, will raise awareness of careers in 140 trades and services in New Zealand. The national campaign will promote New Zealand’s need for more skilled people in trades and services. According to Immigration New Zealand data from 2015, one-third of the occupations on the Long-Term Skills Shortage List are trades and services.

BNZ CLOSING

West Auckland Bank of New Zealand staff will be working in the community on August 31. All BNZ stores will shut for Closed for Good on that day so staff members can undertake volunteering work. One of the things BNZ staff in west Auckland will help out with will be creating vegetable gardens at Titirangi Primary School. The bank’s ‘‘business critical staff’’ including its call centre will still be working for urgent services, and all online and mobile banking services will be available.
