STOLEN CAR

A wanted man was believed to have carjacked a driver and then hit him with his own car in Auckland on May 24. Police were hunting 35-year-old Haumia Manuel who was spotted driving a stolen car in St Lukes at about 9am. Manuel allegedly fled in the stolen car, before dumping it outside a house in Harrington Rd, Henderson. Police were searching the Henderson area with multiple teams including dog handlers. At the time of print Manuel had not been found.

BROADBAND USE

Waitakere City households are consuming 49 per cent more broadband data than last year, according to new statistics from Chorus. A media release said the average Waitakere City home used 200GB of broadband data on Chorus networks in April 2017 compared to 134GB in April 2016.
