Football app to simplify Saturday

The Auckland Football Federation (AFF), in partnership with The Sports Agency, have rolled out a new mobile app. The project aimed to supply users a practical tool to enhance their experience of football in the Auckland region.

Chris Milicich, general manager of The Sports Agency and head coach of Waitakere United, said the new app was more intuitive and enjoyable for the user with the ability to check fixtures, ground venues and receive tailored communications from specific Auckland Football points of contact.

‘‘The AFF app is designed to reflect the shift in communications and the habits of football stakeholders whether they be parents from a non-football background looking for a club for their child to join or simply find the fastest way to reach an unknown venue on match day.’’

Several of west Auckland’s top football clubs play in the various AFF competitions including Glen Eden United and West Auckland AFC.

The Sports Agency had provided apps for other organisation such as Netball North Harbour, Sailing Youth World Championships, the World Masters Games Sailing, Snow Sports NZ, Surf Life Saving New Zealand, Rowing New Zealand, the Rotorua Marathon, New Zealand Rugby League and Harbour Sport.
